The Local Area
Cointe is a chic and peaceful quarter of Liège which is full of beautiful buildings. Walking around Cointe is a very pleasant experience. Incidentally, you can enjoy the Parc de Cointe, a big woody park, ideal for strolls or jogs, with loads of games and tennis courts. There are some shops with all the essentials in the center of Cointe : mini supermarket, bookshop, pharmacy, snacks, pizza shop, bakers…without forgetting the ‘Kleyer’, a famous bar which fills it’s terrace in less than 5 minutes from the first ray of sun and, opposite, the very good Chinese restaurant ‘Shansui’.
One of the main assets of the apartment (which can also be inconvenient due to the noise of the train tracks) is that it’s only a 5 minute walk away from the Gare des Guillemins which, aside from its station boutiques, has a big expedition room and the ‘maison des cyclistes’ (a place to rent bikes). From the station, walk towards the Rue des Guillemins, a very busy road that is bursting with useful things to do: bakery (we recommend Eggen-Nols), butchers (people come from miles away for the Boucherie Ardennaise), delicatessen (la Maison Feugray, known for its oysters), book shop, snacks, little shops, supermarkets (Aldi and Carrefour) and restaurants (le « Concordia » is the crème of the crème).
- If you’re coming by car, the road junctions are very close and you will access the apartment very easily. A parking space is available to hire.
- Coming by bus? There is a bus stop 5 minutes’ walk away (rond-point de Cointe) which will take you directly to the City Center.
- Coming by train? The Gare des Guillemins is a 5 minutes’ walk away.

Depending on the length of your stay, the amount of the security deposit varies and is calculated as follows:
For a stay of less than 1 week, the amount of the deposit corresponds to 25% of the rent.
For a stay of 10 days or more, the amount of the deposit corresponds to 40% of the rent.
For a stay of 1 month or more, the amount of the deposit corresponds to 70% of the rent.
For a stay of 6 months and more, the amount of the deposit corresponds to 1 month of the rent.
For a stay of 1 year and more, the amount of the deposit corresponds to 2 months of rent.
Concerning the cleaning:
For rentals of more than 6 months, in addition to the end-of-stay cleaning, an extra fee of 60€ VAT will be charged.
