Cheese, Fruits, Vegetables, Waffles… everything you could wish for !

Did you know? It is the largest and oldest market in Belgium.

Every Sunday morning, the street la Batte next to the Meuse, turns into a pedestrian street. Very early in the morning the various merchants set up their market stalls. The early risers can already start to rummage trough the stalls from 8am. Until 2:30pm, you can buy fresh products at the market.

That’s for sure – there’s no lack of diversity ! Starting with vegetables and fruits continuing with cheese, meat and Belgian specialities such as waffles which are just waiting for you to try. You can even buy chickens.

Respecting the sanitary rules and with a interdiction to eat on the premises, the market remains open during the confinement.
