WELCOME BAPTIST!

As a second year student at the IUT GEA in Vannes, Baptist decided to join Ze Agency to carry out his six month internship. He joins us in order to acquire a first long-term professional experience. He chose our company for his young, warm team and for the start-up spirit that reigns there.

He set his sights on the “Penthouse on the roofs” and its superb view of the city but also on the “Rogier” for its apparent class and its proximity to the Parc d’Avroy.

ACCOMMODATION: BLOVELY AND WARM, JUST LIKE HOME

Festive lights, garlands, Christmas trees… it’s official, the city is all dressed up for the festive season !

In order not to miss a moment, we recommend the superb apartments on Rue de la Casquette, a lively pedestrian area which is enjoying a second wind following its renovation ! And after having scoured the boutiques and chalets at the Christmas village in the biting cold, the cosy decoration in Casquette 1, 2, 3, or 4 will immediately provide all the home comforts you need, all snuggled up in the warm !

CULTURE : DALTON TELEGRAMME

Here is a local Liege band to follow! Dalton Telegramme have just launched their 2nd album, and it’s a fine piece of work.

As storytellers with a passion for words, they have succeeded in transforming their style with “Victoria”: a local French song, which is catchy and has a more pop than folk arrangement this time. See them live to experience their great energy and contagious good spirit!

A BEER WORTH DISCOVERING: BESTIALE BLONDE LÉGÈRE

©LaBestiale

A light and flavoursome AND ale, it’s like having your cake and eating it.

When you know it’s made in Liege with 100% natural ingredients it’s even better. When putting the finishing touches to his recipe, the creator-brewer Simon Charlier even called in the help of fifty participant testers! We just can’t resist this latest little number from La Bestiale, with its herbal notes and delicate citrus aromas which are reminiscent of summer! A remedy for gloomy weather?

WITH FAMILY OR FRIENDS : THE PIRATE MOVIE CLUB

©PirateMovieClub

If you are looking for a racy cultural activity in the company of joyful (and often costume-wearing) locals from Liege, the Pirate Movie Club will be right up your street!

Their motto? “If you want to keep quiet, go to the cinema!”. Every first Wednesday of the month, in an event organised by Caroline Poisson – a local lass from Liege who we adore – people gather in front of the projection of a cult (or other) film. People chat, sing, clap, … in a nutshell, ambience is guaranteed. Next rendez-vous 6 January, at En Ville for “Rasta Rockett” (1993)!

A BITE TO EAT : BRUNCH AT L’UNION NAUTIQUE

©todayinliege

Good addresses for a weekend brunch are highly sought after and a precious commodity. And here is one of the greatest secrets !

Until recently, the Club House of the rowing club was for members only. Nestled at the end of Boverie park, the superb building from 1931 boasts one of the city’s finest terraces, with breathtaking views of the river Meuse. Since last June, the brasserie at L’Union Nautique has been serving brunch on a Sunday and it’s a real find. We are big fans and highly recommend it!

A SHOPPING ADDRESS: LÉOPOLD, LOCAL COMMUNITY STORE

This cheerfully designed space is where creators and entrepreneurs from Liege cohabit and take turns to test out their concepts or install a pop-up store in the heart of the city.

In December, the store will welcome “Les Bouches Rouges” who will introduce you to its selection of wines produced by female wine growers; at its side, “Le Petit Repère” will showpiece its carefully selected furniture and objects, while jeweller-creator Fanon Truillet will magically craft her metal before your very eyes, and turn it into earrings and other marvels. Go for it !
