THE FAMOUS CHRISTMAS MARKET!

Now that autumn is here, we are waiting for the Christmas Village of Liège! Looking forward to discovering (or rediscovering) Walloon and French handicrafts, admiring Christmas decorations, finding gift ideas and of course… to eat a lot of good things! 🙂

Whether you are an exhibitor or simply looking for accommodation for a few days, ZE Agency offers you several accommodations close to the market! 🙂

Do not hesitate to contact us so that we can find you the cozy little nest that suits you best! 😉

LE TILLEUL: MAGNIFICENT HOUSE IN THE CENTRE OF TILFF

This house located near Liège, in the centre of Tilff will seduce you!

Le Tilleul is close to amenities and sheltered from noise pollution. It’s the perfect place to accommodate 4 people. It has 2 large bedrooms and an outdoor courtyard to enjoy the sunny days! ?

Freshly renovated at the beginning of the year, this property retains the charm and character of the old while offering comfort!

Red brick walls, parquet flooring, beautiful wooden stairs, modern furniture, elegant and refined decoration: this house is worth a look! ?

HOUSING:THE 5 NEW APARTMENTS OF THE SUMMER!

A house with 3 apartments inside and two apartments in the city centre!

The photo was taken on the terrace of Casa de Tokyo (yess, to be consistent with our other articles, we put a couple of good beers on the table). There are two other apartments available in the same house: Hullos #4 – Don’s Place and Hullos #4 – Mr White! You’re welcome there! The two new apartments in the Liège city centre take their exotic names from the paintings that decorate them: Coco Santiago and Cactus Vintage!

WE LIKE :BADJAWE

It’s official — it’s our favourite beer!

And not because it’s from Liège! It’s a special beer, a pale ale (it exists in brown and amber, but we prefer it pale) which is ideal because it’s tasty and light. We haven’t taken advanced training in zythology, but our main argument is that we’ve already tasted quite a lot of beer (hic) and this is the one we prefer. We’re talking about it here because we’ve had it at all our drinks parties, barbecues and games nights this year (errrrr, we’re planning a mineral water tour next month)!

It’s on sale at our new favourite neighbour’s (and elsewhere): “Pied-à-Terre”, rue Saint-Rémy.

CULTURE : LIÈGE À PIED (LIÈGE ON FOOT)

Even people from Liège who think they know their city are fighting over this book — it’s out of stock all the time!

You will be guided step by step, as if the book were your travelling companion. Through anecdotes and shortcuts to unmarked paths, the book guides you from the town centre to the many bucolic, historical or present day discoveries that surround and enrich it. There are 7 routes that are sometimes a bit long for unseasoned walkers (pay attention to the walking time given), with the authors’ favourite destinations and interviews with a few people in each neighbourhood: we haven’t yet gone on all the walks but we devoured this guide.

You can also get it from Toutes Directions (which we love because it’s a travel-themed bookshop and because it’s next-door to the Beer Lover Shop… yes, we’ve decided to talk about beer throughout this Newsletter)!

WITH FAMILY OR FRIENDS :BEER HIKES

This is how to rally the troops!

We’ve found and tested the perfect guide for groups of friends torn between going for a walk or going for a drink. It’s an opportunity see some sights in a different way, walking through the magnificent rolling hills of Belgium to reach an abbey that brews a beer that you would be wise to taste.

We recommend that you buy this book from a bookshop that we love and you’ll soon understand why: Toutes Directions.

ADDRESS : LA BERGERIE DE LA LIENNE

La Bergerie de la Lienne: an ideal break before or after a walk through the wonderful spots in Lierneux!

Jon and Nadia welcome you as a family to their sheepfold were you can say hello/feed/take care of/play with forty ewes, a few chickens and 3 horses. If you’re more interested in some drinks or a snack, you can taste some local produce on the terrace. We recommend you taste the beer from the Lienne brewery there, and take a pot of feta made by Jon and Nadia home with you as well as a pot of honey made by Nadia’s mum’s bees.

GOOD IDEA: “HEALTHY COOKING” WORKSHOPS

We loved and would recommend Catherine Nutrition’s healthy cooking workshops!

We now have plenty of ideas for savoury or “sweet-without-sugar” breakfasts, vitamin lunches and snacks for the little ones or for ourselves at work with recipes and tips that make life easier. We felt like we were spending our Thursday evenings and Wednesday mornings with a great friend who lets everyone taste their concoctions.

Go (here) to say hello to her from us.
