Golden Sixties exhibition, in Liège

Whether you want to rediscover a time when you were a teenager, whether you want to teach your kids about 1960, or if you simply want to learn from this fascinating era, the Golden Sixties exhibition will not disappoint you.

Disrupted by a serie of resolutions (of policy, customs, culture, technology, economics), 1960 time is analyzed in the Golden Sixties exhibition which is entirely dedicated to this time when the excitement was queen.

The exhibition traces the Golden Sixties’ biggest world events of the decade:

USA
                                                   FRANCE
*NASA landed the moon                      *May 68 ignites France
*Jimi Hendrix raises Woodstock           *Brigitte Bardot fevered medias
*Martin Luther King “had a dream”
*John Kennedy assassinated on live

CHINE                                                CUBA
*Mao and his little red book                  *Che Guevara becomes a poster

UK                                                     BELGIQUE
*Mary Quant dares mini-skirt                *Eddy Merckx Makes move crowds

All these events and many other are exposed over one kilometer dotted with more realistic sceneries than ever. For example, you will return to the reconstruction of Paris barricades in May 68, Andy Warhol’s studio, and even the hotel Globe “La Grande Vadrouille”.
Like its big sister “I was 20 in 45” which gathered 750,000 visitors, the exhibition Golden Sixties “I was 20 in 60” will dazzle your eyes.

After an opening in the presence of His Majesty the King and Queen of Belgium, the exhibition will run until 28/04/2013 to Guillemins Station.
