It’s official — it’s our favourite beer!
And not because it’s from Liège! It’s a special beer, a pale ale (it exists in brown and amber, but we prefer it pale) which is ideal because it’s tasty and light. We haven’t taken advanced training in zythology, but our main argument is that we’ve already tasted quite a lot of beer (hic) and this is the one we prefer. We’re talking about it here because we’ve had it at all our drinks parties, barbecues and games nights this year (errrrr, we’re planning a mineral water tour next month)!
It’s on sale at our new favourite neighbour’s (and elsewhere): “Pied-à-Terre”, rue Saint-Rémy.
This is how to impress everyone at breakfast in a jiffy!
Make your spreads yourself! One with speculoos biscuits (you need speculoos, unsweetened concentrated milk, honey, cinnamon and a pinch of salt) and one with chocolate (you need chocolate, butter and sweetened concentrated milk)! That’s all! Success guaranteed.
You’re not dreaming, a new grocery store has opened in the city centre!
You will now be able to find many local and seasonal products from organic or sustainable agriculture, agroforestry.
Vegetables, fruits, breads, dairy products, jams, cereals, drinks, everything you need! 🙂
The grocery store inaugurate its store this Saturday, August 31!
Feel free to stop by to discover and taste these fresh products from OUR countryside! 😉
Tea Late is for us one of the most original and unusual place to eat in Liège for food lovers. Located in Rue des Carmes, this is the perfect place to take a break. In fact, you will be transposed in the Alice in wonderland’s univers. The team is very nice and they will introduce you to sweets and savoury dishes in an enchanting world thanks to the decoration. Tested and approved by the team, do not hesitate anymore !
The “Salon du chocolat” will happen this weekend from Friday 22 to Sunday 24 at Palais des Congrès, in Brussels, where talented designers will present their amazing work. Indeed, Millésime Chocolat as well as Carré Noir, two chocolate factories located in Liège, designed some particular dresses, made of chocolate ! Yes, chocolate ! Chocolate makers and stylists joined their forces to conceive them, one of them being the exact same dress as Wonder Woman.
This is a new way to appreciate chocolate and we are sure that you will automatically melt !
Yummy yummy yummy : www.galler.com 😛
Eyes firmly closed and mouths opened wide, ready for the assortment of milk chocolate easter eggs available from Galler! But watch out: the crispy pink ones, dark coconut and golden pralines disappear at lightning speed 😉
They just jump right into your bag or caddie from numerous Belgian boutiques and sales points, or at the factory itself, in the outskirts of Liège (where good deals can be had by buying “imperfect products” at a discount price).
Three unusual “fashion eggs” have just come out, tempting you and then sending you back to your childhood. And because we like to imagine you with chocolate coming out of your ears as you enjoy decorating an egg with magnets in the shape of little mouths: why not try to win the collection through our Facebook contest ?!!
Now I know this might come as a bit of a shock… but we don’t just make Frites!
Croustillons are little sweet fritters, which, together with cotton candy and tofee apples, play a prominent feature in any belgian fairground. Fairly easy to make, they can be made with or without lager: the choice is all yours!
