A typical Liège location, rustic, authentic and unusual!
The menu, as the name (literally French for Fried Egg) suggests, consists primarily of eggs, in all shapes and forms: fried, fricassee, omelettes, Russian style, and many more besides. It is worth visiting for the pleasure of dining at the must-see Sunday market of Batte or simply to lower the average age of l’Oeuf au Plat customers… 😉

A good place to eat and a good news!
The little Italian restaurant below the three apartments, Louise 1, Louise 2 and Louise 3, serves up delicious fare! And according to customers’ on-line reviews, the restaurant is capturing the hearts and taste buds of the inhabitants of Brussels. We share their views, with one important difference: we are lucky enough to have the luxury and convenience of being based in the same building (how classy!)!
In Liège, following closely in the footsteps of Rue Souverain-Pont and Rue Neuvice, Rue de la Casquette is now also a “top pedestrian street” for:
- shopping, with “La Pharmacie“: a vintage clothes shop with a decades-old reputation,
- a tipple, with “Le Verre Bouteille” and its divine wines, imbibed in a soft light that flatters our pale faces as they emerge from winter,
- eating, with “L’Enoteca“, a restaurant that was recently recognised by the Michelin Guide and that changes its unique menus every week,
- an evening of culture, thanks to the new wine bar “La Halte“, a hive of artistic activity that opens its doors to theatregoers, concert fans and lovers of any of the activities offered by the network of artists that gravitate towards it.
