The “Salon du chocolat” will happen this weekend from Friday 22 to Sunday 24 at Palais des Congrès, in Brussels, where talented designers will present their amazing work. Indeed, Millésime Chocolat as well as Carré Noir, two chocolate factories located in Liège, designed some particular dresses, made of chocolate ! Yes, chocolate ! Chocolate makers and stylists joined their forces to conceive them, one of them being the exact same dress as Wonder Woman.
This is a new way to appreciate chocolate and we are sure that you will automatically melt !
This week is packed with arrivals of our frequent (and new!) tenants that came exclusively for the Christmas market!! They are all excited for the opening which takes place TODAY!!! We can barely await to stroll around their huts while drinking a glass of mulled wine to get warm and to eat all the delicious Christmas specialties.
The Christmas market in Liège, existing for 31 years already, is the most important one in Belgium due to its size and the atmosphere that is surrounding it. Every year, there are around 200 huts that attract almost 2 million visitors among which you can find more and more visitors from all over the world!
The festivities begin TODAY. Don’t miss it because on top of all, Liège was elected the European Christmas City!!!
You would like to experience a stay in an unusual location?
We have exactly what you are looking for: Our new floating house “Escondida”!
Ideally located at the marina “Port des Yachts”, this boat offers you a perfect balance between the tranquility of the water and the immediate proximity to the city center.
The boat, built in 2016, is luminous, well equipped and has two small and charming terraces on which you can enjoy an aperitif with a beautiful view on of the Albert 1st bridge, as well as of the “Quai Marcellis”.
The 159th edition of the Fair in Liège is drawing to an end. Only 6 days remain to go visit the biggest Fair in Belgium, to try the 175 attractions and to fill one’s belly with Belgian treats like Croustillons and Lacquemants.
You prefer hearty dishes? No problem, there are also stands that sell Belgian Fries, Hot-Dogs, Hamburgers, etc. You can taste Glühwein as well that helps to keep you warm considering the cold weather.
There’s something fun for everyone!
You want to have an incredible view over the City of Liège? Try the newest attraction of 2018, “Top of the world”, a chain carousel that reaches a height of 58m, or the Ferris wheel “Roue Royale” that you will find in the middle of the Fair.
Don’t hesitate to go there and to enjoy the last days.
Gone are the days when some kind soul had to drive you to the airport or pick you up at 3 am…
Discover a good plan for all! Our team had been longing for this for ages: a super handy shuttle from the Liège train station to Brussels Airport and back, 24/7. An affordable service with a smile! And let’s face it, a friendly smile when you can barely keep your eyes open in the early morning is always welcome….

Now that the weather is getting colder, we’re craving comfort food!
Discover one of the national specialities, with that signature Belgian mix of sweet and savoury. Red cabbage with apples is usually a weekday dish, served with sausage and potatoes. Check out the recipe here but – don’t spread the word – you can easily find it ready-made in a jar in many shops: open it, heat it, devour it, and snuggle up on the sofa for a cosy night in.
The modern drugstore for the Man who knows that he knows!
This small shop in the heart of Liège is managed by an architect couple that loves things done well. Are you a bit difficult or picky? Or simply put, do you know exactly what you want? Then this is the place to be! Sylvie and Manu select only well-thought-out and beautifully crafted objects, solid and useful, not to mention made to last. We’ve bought inox drinking bottles, a knife sharpening stone, a serving dish we had been dreaming of for ages, ultra-natural soap bars, a pair of left-handed scissors, and much more.
We tend to only go there when it’s sunny, but it’s probably even more fun when you’re wearing gloves and a thick scarf. Head to the fields for a game of farmer’s golf: take your clog-shaped club head, grab a wooden golf club, swing the big balls across the field, and watch them zig-zag their way in between cows and cow dung. A small picnic area has been set up for the players to enjoy a little break half-way through the golf course.
We sipped an aperitif after two hours of fun in the great outdoors 😉
