Gone are the days when some kind soul had to drive you to the airport or pick you up at 3 am…
Discover a good plan for all! Our team had been longing for this for ages: a super handy shuttle from the Liège train station to Brussels Airport and back, 24/7. An affordable service with a smile! And let’s face it, a friendly smile when you can barely keep your eyes open in the early morning is always welcome….

Now that the weather is getting colder, we’re craving comfort food!
Discover one of the national specialities, with that signature Belgian mix of sweet and savoury. Red cabbage with apples is usually a weekday dish, served with sausage and potatoes. Check out the recipe here but – don’t spread the word – you can easily find it ready-made in a jar in many shops: open it, heat it, devour it, and snuggle up on the sofa for a cosy night in.
The modern drugstore for the Man who knows that he knows!
This small shop in the heart of Liège is managed by an architect couple that loves things done well. Are you a bit difficult or picky? Or simply put, do you know exactly what you want? Then this is the place to be! Sylvie and Manu select only well-thought-out and beautifully crafted objects, solid and useful, not to mention made to last. We’ve bought inox drinking bottles, a knife sharpening stone, a serving dish we had been dreaming of for ages, ultra-natural soap bars, a pair of left-handed scissors, and much more.

Ready to have a laugh?
We tend to only go there when it’s sunny, but it’s probably even more fun when you’re wearing gloves and a thick scarf. Head to the fields for a game of farmer’s golf: take your clog-shaped club head, grab a wooden golf club, swing the big balls across the field, and watch them zig-zag their way in between cows and cow dung. A small picnic area has been set up for the players to enjoy a little break half-way through the golf course.
We sipped an aperitif after two hours of fun in the great outdoors 😉

One cactus says to the other,
“Do you speak ‘human’?”
The other cactus replies,
“Oh, that’s easy. Just yell ‘OUCH’ non-stop!”
The 5th edition of the festival “Hoppy Days – La Fête de la Bière de Liège” is taking place next weekend, 26. – 28.10. in the congress building “Palais de Congrès” in Liège.
Just like every year, you will find more then 100 special beers, as well as Belgian beer and beer from abroad from either big or microbreweries. You’re not a beer fan? No problem, a selection of regional alcohol will await you. And to prevent you from starving, you can buy cold as well as warm dishes.
Quizzes, Games and animations are organized during the day. The evenings are, however, more festive with DJ’s, Concerts, etc.
You can’t complain about the entry prices because you pay 6€ during the day and 8€ after 8pm. If you want to get in for free, just show a picture of you in front of the Hoppy Day logo in the hall that you took the previous day!
We can’t wait to spend quality time with friends and of course with a good beer in the hand as well! We will see us there!
